Michael Del Giudice, a former top aide to Gov. Mario M. Cuomo, has been replaced in his job at a Manhattan investment banking firm at a time when the company is being probed by federal and state investigators.

Del Giudice, who joined Lazard Freres & Co. in 1985 after serving as Cuomo's chief of staff, did not return phone calls for comment.

The Bond Buyer, a financial trade paper, reported this week that Del Giudice was forced out of his position three months ago as head of Lazard's municipal finance department. Among its work, Lazard serves as investment advisers to state and local governments across the …
