Bright Tiger's ClusterCATS Manages Multiple Site Server Resources While RADWARE/RND Web Server Director Distributes Traffic Loads Across
Multiple Servers and Server Farms
RADWARE, an international leader in IP load balancing, and Bright Tiger Technologies, a leading provider of Web site resource management software, have entered into a marketing/development partnership to provide a range of solutions for mission critical Internet/Intranet site server applications.
RADWARE's Web Server Director (WSD) hardware load balancing family of products distributes IP traffic between multiple servers or multiple sites, providing fault tolerance, redundancy and optimization of IP server farms. WSD managed "farms" are dynamically load balanced to relieve congestion and provide fault tolerance between servers and/or sites.
Bright Tiger's ClusterCATS software manages multiple Web site resources to achieve high availability and peak performance. It continuously monitors and manages Web site resource location, availability and performance and synchronizes Web site changes that may span many Web servers. It transparently detects and shields users from busy and failed Web servers, applications, databases, file servers, search engines, and other Web site resources.
Used together, ClusterCATS will monitor Web site resources and report performance and availability problems to the Web Server Director (WSD) which will redirect and optimize traffic, providing transparent fail-over for uninterrupted service. Users will experience improved response time, better service levels, and improved availability of IP data.
"The capabilities of ClusterCATS are a perfect fit with RADWARE's WSD; together they offer our present user base a leap in performance without having to replace existing equipment. Of course, new customers will receive the benefits of the combined products as well," Jim Hourihan, vice president of marketing for Bright Tiger, observed.
"The Web Server Director and ClusterCATS represent best of breed in hardware load balancing and software, server side agent monitoring and control software. Collectively the product combination will provide users with both a local and/or global solution that will guarantee increased reliability, performance, and management," said Michael Long, vice president of technology for RADWARE Inc.
ClusterCATS prices start at $5,000 and Web Server Director at $7,000.
